How Mango Live works
Flexible, engaging learning built for your school
Customizable curricula and expert instructors make learning engaging wherever students are, at school or at home. Rigorous instructor training and quality assurance combine with Mango's proven methodology and software to create a flexible, blended learning experience.
Sessions and learning materials
Live sessions are conducted via Zoom for one-to-one instruction, small groups, or full classrooms. Moodle serves as the learning hub, giving students convenient online access to course materials and activities, with printable options also available.
Mango Live instructors
Schools can choose between K-12 certified and Mango-certified expert instructors. Every instructor completes rigorous training in Mango's proven methodology and participates in ongoing performance evaluations and quality assurance to ensure consistently high-quality instruction.
The curriculum
Mango Live curriculum is customizable to fit your students and program. Choose Mango Fresco, an adapted version of Fresco tailored to your language and needs, or a fully customized curriculum. Whichever approach you choose, lessons are designed to keep students engaged and learning.
Flexible class size and duration
Mango Live adapts to your needs with one-to-one, small-group, or full-classroom instruction. Choose short-term, full-year, or summer programs with flexible scheduling, and give students the freedom to join from school or home.
Proven methodology
The same Mango methodology sits under the self-paced courses and the live sessions, so what a student practices with an instructor and what they study on their own reinforce each other rather than running in parallel.
Mango software access
A package includes a year of the self-paced courses alongside the sessions, so students keep practicing between live classes.
Reporting and attendance tracking
Attendance is tracked to the schedule your district agrees. Every package includes a pre-course and a post-course assessment, so progress is measured rather than assumed, and a third-party proficiency assessment is available as an alternative to Mango's own reporting.
What it solves
Why districts bring us in
These situations account for most of the K-12 conversations we have about live instruction.
Support for English learners
WIDA-aligned
Supplemental and enrichment tutoring from native-speaking educators, matched to what each learner needs. It covers English learners and the wider community, and the English-learner content is aligned to WIDA.
Teacher shortages
Keeps a language program running while a post is unfilled, and leaves materials an incoming teacher can pick up rather than rebuild from nothing.
A Spanish course that matches your own
The K-12 Spanish program runs a version of the Mango Fresco curriculum adapted for online delivery, so a district already teaching Fresco in person gets continuity rather than a parallel syllabus.
Over the break
Keep the language going through the summer
A break is long enough for a language to go quiet, and September then starts by re-teaching June. A summer program keeps learners speaking it, on a schedule you set. Districts run the same thing in the fall to open the year.

Paying for it
Funding and quotes
Pricing depends on the format, the group size, and how long the program runs, so it's quoted rather than listed. Tell us the shape and we'll cost it. Mango Live is sold separately from a Mango Classroom or Mango Passport subscription.
Summer programs are one of the uses Title IV-B funds, and Mango qualifies as a supplemental resource under Title I-A, Title I-C, Title III-A and Title IV-A.
