A new course with Mango where the textbook goes
Dr. Michael Pasquale, a linguistics professor and chair of the Humanities Division, was building a course from scratch and needed it to do two things at once: motivate students to take part, and take the edge off the anxiety that so often comes with required foreign language instruction.
He put Mango where the conventional textbook would have gone, making it the spine of the course rather than a supplement to it. Students now arrive at lectures having already engaged with the material, which is exactly what the course objectives were asking for.

“Mango is important because it helps to meet the course objectives. They come into class, into the lectures, and they find that they're engaged.”
